It's been a blast following this team closely for the past four years. In my opinion, Daria's skill level hasn't been an issue and is comparable with several players in front of her. Her mental approach and strategy during matches (including the big points) has been the primary issue. I'm so proud of her for making huge improvement in these areas this year which helped carry this team to the top.

I don't even understand what you are upset about. It's a forum to discuss our school and the team. Many are upset about how it went down with Nicole so people discuss it here. It's definitely worthy of talking about, so stop with the why do you care bs.

Just from a technical standpoint does not look as solid from the baseline or serving.

I think Daria's groundstrokes are fine. She is strong and creates good power. She has a very offensive mindset and playing a pusher / backboard used to frustrate her and she would take too many low percentage chances to try to shortcut the long drawn out battle each point.

Her serve has been her concern. I'd venture to say that she breaks her opponent more than basically anyone but loses her own serve more than anyone. Her holding serve to win a national championship after being down 15-40 was an absolute perfect was to end her college career and deliver a team national championship.

She has an unorthodox forehand and wild volleys but somehow it works. Technically she is a disaster, like Medvedev, but she is a winner and an athlete.

I agree! Technically, her strokes can be a mess. I'm happy she was able to improve her shot by shot decision-making and overall mental approach this year to allow her more consistency than prior years. I do think even with her technical issues, she probably is in the top four or five #6 players in the country THIS year.

Not so sure a post is quite the same as reaching out to your teammates, but perhaps that's how people operate these days. I have been told that there has been little to no communication at all with the players or coaches over the last few weeks. Very reliable source.

If you follow A&M women's tennis on instagram it's impossible to miss all the player engagement. It's honestly good to see.

Our 2024 team - Mary, Carson, Jeanette - as well as many other former players and players from other schools are giving our players tons of love.

Nicole is included in that. Sometimes I think the drama is more for us fans than the actual players.
