So when I was at Monday night's game, there were some Wild fans around me and that was my first direct experience with Wild fans. One Wild lady kind of behind me was with a Stars fan and she was very nice and great. The Wild fans next to her Stars friend that were directly behind me while never interacting with any Stars fans were always very arrogant and I think had serious jerk potential; they just never interacted with any Stars fans for that jerk potential to come out. But I could hear everything they said to each other and they sounded like the worst of a T-Shirt fan mentality and when the final horn sounded they just stood up and said "MINNESOTA TAKES THE SERIES WE'RE OUT." Lol ok whatever.
The more interesting result of a Wild couple (man and woman) was directly next to me and I talked to them all game and they were nice originally but as the game went on and their team would get scored on or something not go their way, their comments became a lot more passive aggressive. The kicker of all of it with the lady though was early on in Game 2 after us being killed by them in Game 1, I told her yeah I figure this series will go 6 or 7 games and she said "well I'm hoping we can win it in 4 so they can rest a lot before Round 2." and I was like lol "uhhhhhhhh you know the NHL playoffs are tough. That ain't happening." And then when we won they were just very terse and said "Bye" and left.
So after all these interactions except the one super nice lady AND seeing all the Wild fans on the glass flipping off the Stars last night like all the time I REALLY hope we beat them and the quicker the better. I get it, they hate Dallas for taking their old team and Bob Sturm told all us Stars fans that while we are all wanting the Stanley Cup as Stars fans and that is our goal, for the Wild beating the Dallas Stars in this series IS their Stanley Cup and their main goal. So I hope we kill them and win the series ASAP. Go Stars!
