Agree with Aggie Jurist - states like NY, CA and IL will ignore / legislate / proceed, regardless of national law.
There is no level of corruption these states will not stoop for dem-cult to retain power.

Absent diplomats and their immediate families while posted here with diplomatic immunity, foreigner on a visa who commits a crime, still receives American due process.

And that is a distinction with a difference. Deportation is a civil matter, not criminal. The only "process" to which they are entitled is much different and much, much lower.

Wouldn't that mean that once here, an illegal could say death to America and other things that show they aren't here in good faith and the government could then not deport them because of that because their speech is protected?

Don't know that I agree with this if what I just laid out is correct.

It is confusing when a judge conflates our American legal concepts in application. Missing the legal nuance entirely in that rationale.

Not to derail the thread, but I wouldn't want Trump running for another term either. My dad is 85 years old and is still pretty sharp and physically active for his age, but he's not what he was even ten years ago, especially for a demanding job like a judge. There needs to be an upper limit to when these guys are forced to retire. Not sure what it is, but if they don't have sense enough to step out themselves then there needs to be an age limit - I don't care if they are conservative or liberal.

There are things as a lawyer that feel good to write. But you don't file them in court. You write them, feel good about it, sleep on it, and then re-do it in a professional manner.

A 161 page screed littered with handwritten notes and random quotes is certainly something a professional advocate would never do. And it is exactly how an article III judge shreds whatever credibility he may have had.

I read that drivel and just laughed. If a first year associate turned something like that in to me, they'd be fired on the spot.
