Any ship may pass through the SoH, unless they are leaving or transiting to Iranian ports. All Iranian ports are off limits.

Believe we and the Israelis are getting ready to resume the war. Hopefully we find the remaining hard liners in a big meeting feeling safe. trump was having a meeting with war chiefs today in the white house.

I mean a blockade IS an act of war. So, uh, they're not exactly wrong there. But I say double down. I'm fine with the current state but hope we can really turn the screws without endangering our personnel. We may have to and that's the nuts but don't let them off the mat.

They only want to block the ships that don't benefit them- when Trump turned it around and blocked their incoming containers and all oil going out it doesn't fit their plan. May get interesting again

from what I have seen these are anti-aircraft artillery pieces like Saddam used in Baghdad in 1991

not actual SAM batteries which we have destroyed all over the country.

as I work for that company a clarification:

they are not laser missiles

it is a system similar to Iron Dome (which uses Tamir missile interceptors and Green Pine radar) but Iron BEAM uses focused laser firing INSTEAD of actual missiles

it will not work well in heavy rain or very cold conditions.

They employ a layered system, Iron Dome, Iron Beam, David's sling. It is all pretty cool, yes. The truth is much is manufactured in the US (Boeing/Northrop/Raytheon etc) as well of the interceptors themselves (Arrow 3), and we/they have been working to expedite production also. I think they make much of their own radars/tracking/guidance systems though.

The Israeli cooperation to share these systems with their arab neighbors is remarkable in this conflict, imho:

It was not too long ago that flights from Dubai to Tel Aviv were completely not allowed by the former.
