Iran does not welcome war but they wont back down with the US either.

The moderates believe in holding fire and negotiating a favorable deal with President Trump, whom they view as eager to get out of the messy war as soon as possible. They worry Iranians are growing tired of the conflict after an initial nationalist uptick.
"The regime has to do something to break this deadlock," Saeid Golkar, who studies Iran at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. "Moderates want a deal because they think more destruction is political suicide," he said.
A growing camp of hard-liners believe Iran has to take the military initiative and start a shooting war again to send oil prices soaring higher and increase the pressure on Trump. They argue that the blockade goes beyond the sanctions Iran has faced down in the past and amounts to an act of war that must have a military response.

We need to focus on opening the strait, that should be our top goal right now. We need to accelerate the mine clearing, then provide air support to blow any Iranian speed boat out of the water. We also need to seriously get other countries to help with escorts, Trump should have already been doing this, and no, lashing out and bad mouthing those countries is not asking. I understand calling out some of them like Italy and Spain, they did us wrong with denying air space and using OUR bases, there was no reasoning to do that
It would be pretty funny and maybe a good idea, if we let the Iranian tankers through and sold the oil to countries in need, keep the money for Iran after the regime falls for their rebuild. IDK how possible that is, just a crazy idea on my part

Correct there were multiple reports of this including incursions directly into Iran from Kurdish areas. And I suspect those were supposed to go into areas with known Kurdish and other secretarian resistance groups. The Kurds were always going to skim some of those. But all of them? Poor decision.
