The original was ok, but not exactly groundbreaking either - it was more the novelty of a 1st person shooter that ran well on a Nintendo device, much like Goldeneye in 1997. I'm sure it will do fine, but won't sell like a Mario or Zelda title.

It wasn't a huge seller, but the original Metroid Prime is still widely considered one of the best game of all time.

Never been a fan of Metroid prime. It's like a first person Zelda game in the sense every missions basically a mini dungeon. Focus is on puzzle and progression through finding key cards and stuff, not combat

Guess Switches are still fairly in demand. Put my V1 Switch up for sale on FB for $150, and sold it within the hour.

I got $200 for mine.

My card was charged for my Walmart preorder. I received a text saying my console is preparing to ship. It is supposed to be delivered to my house before 9 am on launch day.

Living in Australia = will have it before all you nerds.

Yep, I'm about to pick a V1 up here in the next month. Mainly for traveling

So outside of MKW, what are y'all most looking forward to playing in the next couple months?

For me, I'm really excited to re-play BOTW in 4k/60fps, and DK Bananza in July. I've been waiting for a true sequel to DK64 for 25 years.

I'm also hoping that we get an announcement of Metroid Prime 2-3 coming to Switch [2] in the next few months, before MP4 comes out.

I do have the MP Trilogy and could replay them on my Wii U, but I've been holding out hope they get either ported or remastered to Switch.

I have heard really great things about split fiction.

I've been thinking about picking that up to play with my wife.

Definitely BOTW. I haven't replayed that one because I got a Switch fairly late and got TOTK not that long after I finished BOTW. I also got burned out on TOTK and didn't end up finishing it, it just got to be a little much by the end while BOTW felt just right in terms of scope and size.

One of the biggest draws for me are the rumored 3rd party games like Halo, Metal Gear Solid, and Fallout.

I didn't really enjoy TOTK until the ending sequence, which made up for everything else. Strongly encourage you to make it through the end, one of the most epic and satisfying endings in the franchise imo.

Anyone else receive confirmation from Best Buy? Ours says "awaiting authorization"

Best Buy has charged my credit card and order status shows as "packaging item" and that it will be shipped by Thursday.

You might want to check to see if the credit card you used shows any pending transactions from Best Buy and if not, contact Best Buy to confirm there is nothing wrong with your order.

Must have changed this morning. Now showing Preparing for pickup

If your order has a blue shopping bag icon for delivery, that means it is being delivered by one of their Spark drivers. In that case, you may not see an update until it actually ships that day. I'm in the same boat!

Watching for my Target order to update. Unfortunately, they're all sayingb expected June 11.

I can ultimately wait but man I'd like it earlier!

Best Buy says it'll be shipped by Thursday. Just gonna go ahead and assume it'll arrive Friday so I'm not disappointed.
