Guys, I was crane hunting this weekend and switched the chokes out on my gun from modified to full. After a box or two we called it quits and I returned home to clean my gun. I noticed after removing the choke that steel shot was not okay. The barrel seems fine as does the choke. I won't make this mistake again, but wondering if I've damaged my gun and choke on some level not detectable by the naked eye. I can't see any issues. I shoot a Benelli Ultra Light and was shooting Super X 3" 2 shot shells.

Your help is much appreciated.

It would Mar/scar up the choke that's the risk, the barrel should be fine. Sometimes it'll cause the choke to become stuck in the barrel.

Don't make a habit out of it

Yes, I took it out after I cleaned the barrel and put the modified choke back in. It screwed right out no problems.
