Is this "Coming and Going" or "Gone and Never Coming Back"?
It's nostalgia night in BCS.

Just to correct the front page listing:
Lion's Den Gym is in the old Gold's Gym location in the Tejas center and looks really nice.
I am not sure where Pickleball Kingdom will go. It looks like both NRG and American Freight nextdoor to Lion's Den Gym are both permanently closed, so I guess it could be going there.

đź”´JUST CONFIRMED: Anchor Bar in College Station has closed.

I just spoke to owner Mark Baldobino, who said a tough economy, not enough sales, and overall financial reasons were the factors in the decision. Anchor Bar opened in August 2024 on Harvey Road.

Well this sucks. This was our favorite wing place in town by a mile. We went or ordered it to go at least 2-3 times a month. It was never slammed, but it almost always had a decent crowd in there. Was really hoping they would make it.

Part of the problem seems to me to be how many chicken wing places can one market sustain? At some point they exceed the capacity of the market.
Maybe be inventive. Open a restaurant with a unique concept. Then it makes it or doesn't based on things like how good the concept is.

Went there for my birthday this year with my parents back in March
It wasn't even 1/3 full, and they were out of the first 3 beers that my dad tried to order. Dad and I were hoping to add it to our rotation on nights that mom had bunco, but he was so unimpressed by the experience that it didn't happen
