the scene around NRG is honestly sad for tourism wanting to hang out near there on gamedays

Timmy Chan's is El Tiempo now.
But your'e talking about very different population sizes, demographics, and geography. The South Loop has what the local population & commuters will support. Better options are not far away, but in places where the full-time population supports better options.
Not sure if you know the reputation South Main had back in the day, but it's actually improved a good bit.

Do you take a select larger reptile to festivals or other outdoor public gatherings to meet women?

Four people are in custody after reports of gunfire near NRG Stadium Tuesday.
A Harris County Sheriff's Deputy assigned to METRO's rail safety patrol reported hearing several shots near the platform area. Investigators say the gunfire appears to have started during an altercation between two groups -- one made up of two males and the other being a male and a female.
