i am going this weekend. where some good places to eat? what beach is the best? what else is there to do there besides the beach?

I personally love Pirate's Landing for their fried shrimp, its in port isabel on the left hand side just before you get onto the bridge, by the light house. I love the lantern for a nicer meal, with great fresh seafood. It can be a bit pricey.

Karaoke at the Coral Reef. Pelican West has a great band that used to play at the Radisson.

Dorado's has some great gumbo...wife had a wrap there that she really liked as well....

well...this is probably too late but my fav's are...
Wahoo Saloon for sunsets, margaritas and sunsets
Murphy's Law for Friday Firework/ sunset boat cruises (worth the $20.)
Blackbeards for burgers
Palm/Wanna Wannas etc for beach front relaxing

Don't think so. It looked pretty full the friday night I was in town. It's one of those places like Boomerang's that would be hard to tell if there was any damage.
