As the title says, got this code today. 4 months ago I got it and put in a new O2 sensor and then the code reappeared today. I have noticed that my regen is occurring a*little more frequent, around every 450-500 miles. I drive 78 miles one way to work on highways, no stop and go driving to speak of. 138K on the clock.

Any help is appreciated Ags.

I had my expedition in the shop for a P0430 (which is the same code as P0420 but bank 2 instead of bank 1) two weeks ago.

Ford said bad driver side cat and replaced with new. Wasn't covered by warranty, but i was in for other warranty work so they "agreed" to cover 2/3 of the cost. not sure how accurate that is and if they retail cost was accurate but for what they charged me I was okay with it. my share was about $600.

Might be worth seeing if Ford will goodwill the cat.

They do 8yrs/80k miles cat warranties on light duty trucks. F250 it's only 50k/5yrs.
