The real ***** of this is that when it does come to light that everyone was really doing it, like we have been saying all along, how does the MLB reconcile the damage they have done. We just lost draft picks because of these lies, we lost a coach and a GM because of these lies.

If this comes out that the Yankees did something similar then they should recover a similar punishment (2 draft picks) and Joe should be fired from whoever he's at now.

The next step should be Manford's head. A commissioner covering up 1 teams cheating should piss off all the other owners, fans, and everyone else in baseball.

Yankees reporter saying it does not talk about sign stealing. Non-astros fans on the baseball subreddit are already trashing players and fans for premature celebration. Guess we'll see where this one lands.

I saw that but I don't trust that guy. NY Yankees reporter writing a book on the Astros with stealing scandal. If the letter wasn't damning, the Yankees would not have argued releasing it would cause significant reputational damage.

I couldn't care less what this persons opinion is. She hasn't had her team and city drug through the mud. Once that happens we will get to see just how petty she would be in the same circumstances.

I don't think Manferd put a smoking gun in writing, even if it was supposed to be confidential. I think it'll basically be like the Red Sox. They obviously cheated, but their fans will still claim they didn't cheat as much as the Astros.

Between not being able to negotiate an agreement with the players and now being busted for covering up cheating, Manford's head should be on a spike outside of MMP.

here's why Mrs. McHugh is upset...

her husband's one-year contract with the Red Sox has only a $600k base salary.

but it's incentive-laden and based heavily upon innings pitched...that could push his salary into the $4 MM range.

however the combination of the COVID and the labor strife has severely capped his contract
