Just a 'win' to share:

I got the Chase Sapphire Reserve for me and went ahead and added my wife (+$75).

We recently found ourselves at the airport gate way too early because everything went better than expected up to that point.

I pull out the Priority Pass app and see that there's a qualified lounge nearby. We headed up there and checked our kids in as guests and got to spend almost two hours in a very nice lounge eating fresh pastries, fruit, and espressos. (And using very clean bathrooms)

It really is the little perks along the way that really makes this little hobby awesome.

One of my little wins was going to Hyatt Lake Tahoe and while the free nights are awesome, I wasn't looking forward to paying the resort fee of like $38 per day, but it turned out you didn't have to pay it when booking with points.

Marriott amex has priority pass, but they got rid of access to all non-lounge experiences. So our main airport, DEN, we can't visit the only location they had anymore since it was just a restaurant (timberline grill).

We got a few $100 use out of it in the 6 months we had it though. Easily paid the $500 amex card fee.

I wish they'd partner with an alternate lounge that is still available for amex holders at such airports.

I applied for the Chase SW Business card in October and today they sent me a referral link to any Southwest Chase card (personal or business). Turns out you can earn 10k for each person that uses the link, up to 50k.

If you are applying for a SW card please use this link: https://www.referyourchasecard.com/257f/74YFBCITT4

About the priority pass - I had it for literally 10 years with a Hilton Surpass card. Since I rarely stay in Hilton properties anymore I downgraded the card this month (which was surprisingly easy) and lost the priority pass. I planned to use it so many times but didn't use it a single time. Definitely wish I took advantage when I had it. If you have it look up your benefits and use it!

What is the time frame for getting a SW business card approval back. I had my wife fill it out last week and we haven't seen anything come back.

This is the 1st business card either of us have ever done

When I applied it said I would hear from them soon. After 12 days of hearing nothing I called some Chase number and after a lot of button pushing I got an automatic message that said I was approved, then got the card in the mail 1 or 2 days later.

I think they're waiting for you to contact them for security reasons.

Ok I need new card recommendations.

I have a CSP, CIP (EIN), CIP (SSN), Amex Hilton Biz
Wife has a CIP (SSN)

I think I would prefer another non-Chase biz card for myself. I do all the traveling/spend so I worry a bit about having card with my wife's name. And it makes it tough to use any of the extra perks.

If you are Amazon Prime and use it frequently, Amex Business Prime might be a good option for you.

argggghhhh..

PSA - don't close your chase united card before you use your 2 united passes.

I had the 2 passes tucked away in my wife's United acct for our upcoming kidless vegas trip in a few weeks.

Well, a few weeks ago I decided to close that particular chase card, since the annual fee was coming up here in a few months, and I wasn't using it much anymore.

United passes.. POOOOOF! Gone.

I totally didn't need to close the account, the passes were good until April, when the yearly cycle/fee occurred. What a complete brain fart. I didn't even occur to me the passes would go away, since the points/bonuses don't go away.

I sent Chase a message asking to reinstate the card to possibly get them back, we'll see what happens.

The last T&C on the united club pass page

Quote:

Each United Club pass is subject to the expiration date located on the pass. If your credit card account is closed, United and Chase reserve the right to remove the United Club passes from your MileagePlus Program account. Chase is not responsible for the provision of, or failure to provide, United Club amenities.

If only I had pdf'd the dang things.

Anyone gotten an "EIN" to be able to churn through the Chase Business cards again? If so, would that affect your taxes?

Now that I've become somewhat of a credit card churner, I've been meaning to post here. This is a PSA to read your emails carefully.

A couple of weeks ago I got a 5am email from Chase congratulating me on the 249,000 CUR points transfer to Krisflyer miles. By 6am, I was on the phone with Chase's fraud department. Apparently, someone called-in the transfer over the phone, was able to answer all of my security questions, and successfully initiate the transfer.

According to the Chase fraud department, this form of identity theft is becoming more common because it's easier for the crime to go unnoticed. Chase reissued my points within 48 hours, but I'm not sure they were able to recover the stolen points.

Quick question. I opened the chase SWA personal card in November and will get a 40k SUB after $1k in spend. My closing date was 12/2/19. It says on my statement that my next statement period closes on January 2, 2020. Am I 100% safe to go ahead and do my spend now for it all (the spend and the bonus) to "count" for 2020 towards my companion pass so that it is good for 2020 and 2021? Or is that Jan 2nd date too close for comfort and should I just hold it and do my spend after new year's day?

Crap. Just got rejected for Ink Unlimited.

7/26/19 Got Ink Preferred
10/26/19 Got Ink Cash

Applied last night for the Ink Unlimited and was given the "need more info" email. I called and they said too many cards too soon. The rule on most forums was 1 every 30 days or at most 1 every six weeks. They may be making this a bit harder to do now..

1/30 is the hard rule and the closest you can get Chase biz cards together. But the more you accumulate the general guidance is to space them out to 90 days or more. People have been shut down for getting 3-4 business cards in a 6 month window.

Alright got a paper in the mail today requesting documents for proof of physical address. It mentions documents for beneficial owners or the business should I see if I have a bill in her name? And see if that will get it approved?

I got my Chase Sapphire Reserve in mid November.

How soon can I apply for my next card? And should that be the Chase Freedom? Or Freedom Unlimited ?

Depends on if you think you'll maximize the rotating bonus categories or not. Personally, I don't do injury have the unlimited.

Why did you not get the preferred at the same time? The southwest cards have bigger bonuses than the freedoms even if you just cash out to Amazon. World of Hyatt is another option. The freedoms are for product changes, not applications.

Collecting for travel rewards is my goal so the UR program is pretty good and flexible.

I got the CSR because of the higher earnings and because of the 1.5x if I use via their travel portal.

I didn't think I could get both the Reserve and the Preferred. I thought the best starting point was one or the other.

Staying with the two Chase products above lets me keep banking UR points but gives me higher rewards in non-travel/dining categories.

The Unlimited is what I'm thinking just so I don't have to work so hard - but the 5x rewards on the plain Freedom are pretty good.

Yes. No.
So just register for the EIN using the same "business" that you used with your SSN?

Then focus on getting as many CIP as you can.

Well when you go to the IRS for a sole prop ein that's the only choice you have.

Chase Ink? I hadn't considered that since it's a business card. But 80k bonus is nice. Spend level isn't an issue.

How do you go about getting multiples?

I mean not to put too fine a point on it, but you apply for more than one.

Given the state of AA Mailers, Amex shutdowns, and other factors for the moment the only one true scam running is getting a CIP every 3 months or so. If you are under 5/24, there's no real defined reason to exit 5/24 status until Chase closes this loophole.

Is this because the CIP is considered a business card, so it doesn't count against the 5/24 rule?

Yes, and well it doesn't conform to any "One sapphire" rule, for the time being. Keep in mind I fully expect this loophole to close within the next 12 months or sooner.

How do you get one every 3 months? Do you close ones that you've opened? Or will they just issue you multiple accounts with the CIP?
