Thinking of going to Iceland off season. Any recs on things to do and places to see around Reykjavik including food and hotel recs. Thanks! I know during the winter it's best to be careful as to the driving.

Take a trip to the Faroes. Love the island chain with very few visitors

They are getting very rainy and windy weather now. Guess you can never guarantee the weather in Iceland. Thanks for the recs

I wonder what November is like? I guess the days being shorter creates a new challenge besides the weather.

How did you all make your way to Iceland? When I go I am thinking of flying to Boston and then using Icelandair from there. Seems to have a daily flight at noon and gets in at 9. Avoid jet lag

That's interesting. Most flights arrive in the morning there so you would definitely beat the rush. Just make sure you have arranged a ride into Reykjavik, is about a 90-minute ride from the airport in Keflavik.
