Cartel woods not meeting expectations I guess

Kind of bitter sweet. It's a long drive to get there at Carlton Woods, but my girls have really enjoyed it and we've found a great spot to watch golf.

It will be nice to be closer, but won't be the same.

Temporary above ground pool at the 18th, so the winner can jump in? Just has to be deep enough for a cannon ball. Two professional tournaments on a course within weeks of each other. I don't know anything about course maintenance but isn't that alot of wear and tear on a course in a short period of time?

I also don't know anything about course maintenance, but I imagine the pros on foot are easier on a course than endless 4somes of fat hackers driving to hell and back in carts on the fairways, digging to china with their 7 irons.

Different sets of tees, different landing zones, so probably not as bad as you think. They played the US Open in back-to-back weeks at Pinehurst one year and that did fine. Just means the course will likely be off limits for a couple of months in the spring while they get it ready, which sucks for people who play there often.

Effective immediately? Live fairly close to CW. Wanted to take my daughter and never worked out. Always disappointed when it passes that I haven't made it out based on some of the posts about it each year.

Man going to be even harder to get onto memorial

yes moving for 2026 so next year. The players did not like CW and last year the Woodlands marathon was scheduled the same weekend which created a big headache for spectators, so LPGA was looking to get out of there. They think more people will attend the event at Memorial.

Put it on the driving range, can cannon ball from the second deck

Cartel Woods just isn't a very good course for it. Took daughter, it's a brutal walk, can't really see multiple holes anywhere on the property. Parking was a mess too.
