Cheers to victory over sanford, felt sorry for them at the end.

I usually brew a few batches of homebrew for Thanksgiving. We typically have 25-30 eaters. Three are already in town, two more coming tomorrow. Too busy to brew this year so I had my buddy at the pub order me some kegs. Walking out on my patio and pulling a pint of Yellow Rose is glorious. The other keg is Hans Pils.

ETA: Sorry about the Garand thumb.

Excellent choices on the kegs. Got room for one more at thanksgiving?

Richardson Beer and Wine is great for finding aged beers. A little wary of buying non-dark beers off the shelf because the owner does not seem to throw beer out. I found a Tupps Dark Saison in there last week. That beer is like 8 years old! Also found a Jester King Mad Meg from 2022 (no longer brewed) that will be interesting to open.

But he also does cool things like put out 2022 Barrel Aged Pumpkinator, so can't complain too much.

Some Thanksgiving Eve fun, courtesy of The Veil (Richmond, VA). Had some whiteferrari a few weeks ago, so allow me to introduce wetferrari, the naughty, ****ty older sister of whiteferrari!

And redmiata, the younger sister who thinks she's cooler than she is. You're embarrassed you like her, but she's so fun to "drive."

And added some Ghost Prime for the hell of it.

The Ghost Prime may have been the best of the three, but they're all really damn good

Real Ale's Coffee Porter always kicks off the holiday season for me. Comes out at the start of deer season. Tastes like fall.

Spending Thanksgiving at our place in Alpine always means a stop at Brick Vault for beers and BBQ.

BCBS in stock. At these prices they are all a pass for me. /lolcheap

Now the Celebration on the other hand, I'll happily take several.

Didnt get anything exciting leading up to turkey day so ended up kind of a boring-beer holiday for me. Found Hank's beer though.

Celebration is way better than BCBS. You made the right choice.

Anyone know anything about 105 W brewing in castle rock? Just read that they're buying trinity which has been dog**** since it was last sold in 2020. This town definitely could use some breweries that are actually decent and not just someone's home brew hobby out of hand.

Would you guys drink bourbon barrel stouts from 2010-2015 if they have allegedly been in a fridge the whole time?

I would drink a bourbon barrel stout from 2010 if you told me it stayed on your back porch in Corpus Christie the whole time. Not saying I would finish it but I would give it a go.

The oldest beer in my small collection is a Divine Reserve 6 (2008 vintage). Guess I should probably crack it and see if it is still drinkable.

I've been sitting on these for a while and honestly forgot about the Firestone's. Not pictured is a 2015 bcbs rare, pretty sure I jinxed the game with it Friday so it went back in the corner of the closet.
I'd part ways with the stickee and dbl dba if anyone is interested, although I haven't shipped beer in years.

Where you at? I'll be back in TX for Christmas and those two are two of my favorite 3 FW beers (along with OG Sucaba). The large format Barrelworks beers are so much better than when they went to the 12 oz bottles.

Houston area. Gimme a heads up and I can figure out a way to get them to you. Sucuba was a great beer, Parabola was my favorite of their barrel aged stuff.

Just fyi, keeping a beer in the fridge drastically reduces chemical reactions/aging, instead, keeping it fresh. So 15 years in a fridge is probably similar to just a few years sitting at cellar temps.

Many beer enthusiasts have beers that old and drink them without worry, including myself.

I have ~20 year old homebrews that I still pop open now and again.

After nearly a decade of (trying to) collect this set, and only missing partridge in a pear tree, NOW they decide to put them in a full pack.

When I saw it was $20 off, I didn't hesitate a second! $130 for a dozen high ABV Belgians ain't bad in my book.

They changed to 375s at some point, which is more manageable. Of the 11/12 I already had, I think about 8 of them are 750s.
I may trade them for something else since I have the full set now.
