I'm a huge fan of buccees jalapeo cheese summer sausage. Texas has a number of great front porch, knife whittling sausage. Whats on your list and do they ship?

Not to flip it around on you...but literally every kind I've tried, I liked.

So what are some awful ones?

I like Prasek's just slightly more than Bellville... 1a and 1b

I like the one from Dzuik's in Castroville. But I also make my own that I like better. I haven't found one that was made from a small meat market that was bad.

Big fans of Opa's Jalapeo Cheddar summer sausage. Locally (DFW) I find it at Market Street. That was a happy surprise as previously we'd only had it when we bought some during our only Oktoberfest trip to Fredericksburg.

Summer sausage was the hook but also got some of the stuffed pork tenderloins and stuffed jalapenos as well as meat stick sampler.

Have you made sausage? A garage kitchen is practically a requirement.

My favorite was Saunder's Sausage Farm. It was on the highway near Texas World Speedway, but it closed many years ago.

Green's Sausage House in Zabcikville! Jalapeno & Cheese is my favorite but they are all great. It's a really great multigenerational family owned business that is like stepping back in time when you visit. Been going there for 45+ years that I can remember and the place really never changes.

They have a restaurant next to the meat market and it is really great as well, get a sausage burger with sauerkraut and beer battered onion rings and you will not be disappointed.

PS - best kolaches and klobasneks in the area too!
