Best restaurant in Vegas isn't on the strip. Lotus of Siam is the only restaurant I go to every time I'm there.

Second on Lotus.

But if you want a more Vegasy night, then hit the restaurants at Cosmo. STK, Beauty & Essex, Momo***u, Jaleo, Scarpetto. The food won't be as good as Lotus, but the vibe will be better.

You can't go wrong with Bouchon at the Venetian either.

The answer is always Lotus of Siam. Always.

And Bouchon.

Momo***u for a dinner and Bouchon for a brunch are pretty much must go for me when I go to Vegas.

Raku and raku sweets off the strip are excellent if you like yakitori. I try to go each time I'm in Vegas. Great sake menu as well.

This is the correct answer. Add in Robuchon if your budget is $Texas.

We had an excellent meal at L' atelier Robuchon. It's not as expensive either. I mean, it ain't cheap but it's a la carte so you can choose to go big or stay within reason. We had truffles so it got stupid quickly.

Lots of good recommendations in this thread but I will add in Giada at the Cromwell for brunch. Good vibes and really good food imo.

My other recs have pretty much all been mentioned. Momo***u, egg**** for quick breakfast, lotus etc

Nearly impossible to answer. Vegas has become a foodie destination 10 - 15 years ago and the options now are limitless.

e by Jose Andres. It's a small room in the back of Jaleo. 8 seats. Really, really, good. Not cheap ($290+). Must book well in advance.

You said the best, not the cheapest. (That being said, if money is no object at all Robuchon is the way to go.)

Raku is also an excellent suggestion if you are willing to drive off the beaten path. It's where the Vegas chefs generally go to eat.

And again... Lotus.

It's also worth adding that the basic spaghetti (tomato and basil) at Scarpetta in the Cosmopolitan is the best I've ever had and I don't say that lightly.

e is incredible. It would be a pretty unique group of guys for them to be all in on that experience though.

Is it still as good? Scott Conant split with Scarpetta a few years back, and it was his spaghetti. I wonder if they changed it since then.

I make it at home and it is killer, but still not as good as at the restaurant.

For something a little more budget friendly, Jaleo in The Cosmopolitan is outstanding. Great Spanish tapas and excellent wine pairings.
