The wife and I are 10 days into no sugars no grains and just low carbs in general to maintain through the holidays and continue to lose weight into 2022. I'm down about 5 lbs already. We will stuff ourselves on Christmas and have a few aged eggnogs. However, we are trying to find some nice cocktails to avoid the cases of beer and wine that we would normally drink.

We've been drinking "skinny" margaritas, ranch waters, lime rickeys, old fashions, with no sweetners or sugar and are getting by.

It would be nice to try out some new "healthy" low/no sugar drinks and cocktails for the Christmas. Watcha got?

Your base liquors are generally all the same calorie wise so it really comes down to the mixers.

Gin & tonic, Vodka soda, rum & diet (add some lime for a Cuba libre), Jordans Skinny mixes aren't bad. Could do a maple old fashioned with sugar free maple syrup.

You could have a White Russian with Mr Black instead of Kahlua. Sweeten to taste with some liquid stevia.

Thanks for the info. I hadn't heard of the skinny mixers or Mr. Black. I do like a White Russian.

If you're looking for something sweet you can always squirt some of the zero calorie/carb water flavorers into a ranch water (Crystal Lite, Mio, etc).

Not fancy by any stretch but it allows you to change up what you're consuming.

You can also brew some mint tea then mix it w/a sweetener of your choice (truvia, monkfruit, splenda, etc) and vodka. This is my wife's go-to drink even though she doesn't do low carb.
Staff - take out the trash.

not really a "winter" drink but gin and tonic with zero calorie tonic water is good. I cant tell the difference.

Irish coffee jello shots:

Did these with no sugar outside of whatever is in the bailey's and it was pretty damned good. Can do without the bailey's topper and that was pretty good as well. The gelatin has no sugar.

What's your goal? It sounds like you like wine, so why are you looking for a cocktail to replace it? Isn't it "healthier" than most cocktails, even "skinny" ones?

I made a batch of AB's eggnog and it's damn delicious and I'd imagine runs in at roughly 3,000 calories a glass.

My in-laws are fans of Salted Caramel Crown, topo chico and a couple dashes of cinnamon. It's not my favorite, but it is interesting.

This is the answer, or variations on it (like the aforementioned topo with lime). Just about the "lightest" beverage you can have.

That being said, it doesn't necessarily bring as much to the table as a nice glass of wine. Personally, if I was really nailing down calories and carbs and looking at my drinking, I would rather skip more nights and just have wine on the drinking nights.

Cranberry vodka has minimal, if any, sugar. A good option with Topo and lime if you want something red and festive.

Fever-Tree's light tonic water is excellent. Looks like they're 30cal for their little 200ml/6.8oz bottle which usually translates into two drinks / bottle.

How do you make your skinny Marg's? With OTS mix? My wife likes the 2oz tequila, 1oz lime juice and Sprite Zero to taste. It's basically zero additional calories over drinking straight tequila and is actually quite acceptable.

Always been a fan of Brandy neat/rocks around the holidays. Pretty wide selection of flavors to be found. Calvados is a favorite.

Mulled wine is awesome when it's cold as s#it outside.
