What suggestions on cooking lamb shanks for 14 people.

Have done them with a rogan josh sauce which were excellent.

I'd take the easy road and go Braised Ossobuco style. Plus you can serve with Polenta which will be cheap and easy for 14 people

We use more wine and good marinara sauce instead of tomato sauce.

We raise and butcher our own lambs; this is our absolute favorite lamb meal!

I have never cooked nor shopped for lamb shank, are these typically sold fresh or frozen? If fresh, I'll likely need to seek out a butcher
Never seen them at HEB meat counter.

We have bought them at Central Market, and sometimes have asked the butcher for them.
I think of them as a lamb drumstick.

If you have a Mid East store, like phonecia here in Houston, they sell a ton of fresh lamb.
