It was 100% enforced by either showing a negative test or your vaccine card with your ID at every indoor establishment. Even if you were going to walk in, buy a drink, and walk out, they asked for your card. It was chilly, around 45 degrees while there, so there wasn't many outside sitting options. But the bars/restaurants were all packed while there.

HAHA - valid. I failed to take a lot of pictures of said food. I do a lot of research, so wanted to put it out there so others could take a look at my list!

I love Cochon and Cochon Butcher. No way in hell I'll go with the current authoritarianism, but if the restaurants survive and I find myself back in Nola I'll go

How was Sylvian? I loved it when I went there about 6 years ago.

For anyone visiting here's another food rec I learned when I visited in Dec.

Latitude 29 is a fantatic tiki bar owned by a 'world famous in tiki' author and tiki historical rsearcher Jeff "Beach Bum" Berry.

Nothing earth shattering knowing about this bar - I wish more people didn't so that you don't need a reservation even for a single bar seat.

The tip - the cheeseburger is one of the best damn hamburgers I've ever eaten in my life, and I'm not typically a fan of 'big mac' style burgers/sauce.

Two perfectly seared perfectly seasoned patties w/toppings. I just now remembered this experience. Even my wife when she tried it said "damn - that's a good burger."
Staff - take out the trash.

My favorite place to eat and drink. Haven't been back in close to a decade. I need to remedy that at some point. Eating cajun food, drinking cold beer, getting sweaty.
