Question about making American cheese

I'm trying to figure out how to make a good SLICED American cheese. I followed the recipe in the video below and it tastes awesome, but after putting into plastic container and letting set, I was unable to get it to come out of the container. It was too sticky. Any suggestions on either what to do with my recipe, or what containers to put in while hot to make it easier to get out and slice?

I've heard of folks pouring the hot cheese into a sheet pan, then slicing when it's cold.

Well, the obvious answer is to just break the container like Brad did in the video. Seemed pretty effective.

Tried that too and it was still a little too sticky.

I didn't realize American cheese could be produced outside of a laboratory.

But I do love it.

It's a game changer. Very easily you can turn any grated cheese you want into liquid gold in just a few minutes. Possibilities are endless now for queso and sandwiches/burgers. Trying to get the slices down for smash burgers.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Try pouring it onto a silpat, spreading it out evenly, and then cut it when it's cool. I doubt the cheese would stick to a silpat.

Maybe try lining a meatloaf pan or rectangular Tupperware with parchment paper to form a brick.
