How's the spice on that. Is this a big spice forward whiskey? I tend like whiskey that tastes like Weller Special Reserve.

Let me go taste our last one again. It's the same mashbill. It's definitely considered a high rye bourbon.

I don't get tons of spice from it but I like rye. I'd put it on the lighter end of a high rye bourbon.

Is Brazos Valley Bourbon Society real? How does one join?

Yes, it's real. We're a non profit social club based in Bryan. We hold meetings once a month at Rough Draught. To be offered membership, you must attend a meeting with a current member. If we feel you are a good fit (and interested more in a community than flipping bottles), you will likely be asked to join.

There are at least 3 current members who regularly post on this board.
