It's really really weird seeing dudes mock a coach/team that is having one of the best years of Aggie basketball since Melvin.

Like, really weird. Addicted to negativity.

Strange coach to stop on since Melvin's A&M teams never had a winning record. If it goes all the way back to Melvin then it keeps on going.

Was having one of the best years. "Was" . They are now rapidly trending toward the mean.

Buzz needs to recruit 4- and 5-stars.

Problem is

However, I doubt that many of these prima donnas want to play in Buzz' grind-it-out / pick-and-shovel / bust your rear type of system.

Yep. And that's pretty sad how most players don't want to have it like that nowadays.

Just wait. he is getting ready to get killed at Florida and home against Auburn. We are headed for 10-8 9-9 in conference. If you believe that is best year we have ever had than you standards are really low.
There is still some season left, so it is hard to say whether this is the best year we have ever had or not, but it is damn near close. The SEC is considered the best conference in the country by a wide margin, there are a number of people saying that it is the best conference ever. It is possible 13/16 SEC teams make the NCAA tournament which is unreal.

We have wins over:
Texas Tech - No. 7 in NET Rankings, 10 in the AP Poll
Missouri - No. 12 in NET, 14 in the AP
Purdue - No. 18 in NET, 20 in the AP
Ole Miss - No. 27 in NET
Ohio St. - No. 33 in NET
Georgia - No. 36 in NET
Creighton - No. 37 in NET, likely ranked next week
Texas - No. 39 in NET
Arkansas - No. 40 in NET
OUx2 - No. 50 in NET

We've been ranked the entire season, which I do not think we have ever done before. I do not think we have ever stacked up this many high-quality wins. 11 wins over teams that are in the top 50 in the NET rankings, three wins over teams that are consensus top-20 teams, six Q1 wins with the potential for more depending on how some of those teams ranked 33-40 shake out and games ahead of us.

Our losses:
UCF - No. 77 in NET, bad loss, but first game of the season and on the road...Q1 loss if they move up two spots in the NET
Oregon - No. 32 in NET, neutral site, not ideal, but they are a tournament team
Alabama - No. 6 in NET, 6 in AP, Wade Taylor was out, we were competitive the whole way
Kentucky - No. 14 in NET, 17 in AP, on the road, Wade Taylor was out
Texas - No. 39 in NET, on the road, we pooped this one, but not a bad loss
Miss. St. - No. 30 in NET, 24 in AP, on the road, ugly game...I will admit, I did not watch much of this one because I thought it started later and was stuck in traffic, seemed ugly and bad though
Tennessee - No. 4 in NET, 5 in AP, went down to the wire, but we played a damn good game
Vandy - No. 41 in NET, frustrating loss...we did not look great, we should have won this game, also got screwed on an inadvertent whistle lmao which would have won us the game

We do not have any terrible losses this year and every single loss up until Texas happened when we were missing Zhuric, Wade, or Solo. I really wonder if Wade has been right since returning from injury earlier.

I get that this losing skid is frustrating, but this is still a special team for a program like A&M and pending tourney results, it could definitely end up being the greatest season in school history.

Also need the $$$ to get them and it seems that basketball lags behind football and baseball in that regard by a pretty decent margin.

The FG% is not good and FT% is avg. It could probably improve with taking better shots (running better offensive sets or getting ball inside more) which would result in more W's. Buzz teams typically do not shoot well.

Buzz can say all he wants and take the blame, that's half of being accountable… the other half is actually putting your pride and stubbornness aside and changing what's hurting your team

There's two levels here and I'm not sure I agree with either one.

Any time we start losing people act like Buzz is recruiting players from the local dungeons and dragons club.

Wade is a 4 star, Coleman is 4 star, Manny is a 4 star, Solo was right on the edge, he was just outside the national top 150 about 20 spots from being a 4 star, everyone wanted Phelps and Payne out of the portal. Garcia was an All-SEC defensive player last season. These are talented and/or proven players that we had to fight to get.

I also think this notion that good players don't want to play in a "bust your rear" system is ridiculous. Great players don't become great players by being lazy. Sure, there are some, but most great players are great because they work hard at it.

What great players want though is their skills to be featured in a way that's going to get them to the next level, and we haven't really shown the ability to do that under Buzz. We haven't had a player even sniff the draft since he's been here. Players do notice that.

I'm wondering if personal loyalty is standing in the way of handing the offense to another coach. I'm really enjoying Buzz as the face of the program and culture captain but maybe a fresh set of eyes on the O would help.

Nope. If dipping into the top 10 but collapsing at the end of the season is good enough for you... you're in the right place unfortunately

Some of us have higher standards and are tired of the orange slice and pat on the back mentality

What does this even mean? Who here is happy we lost these last three games? Is anyone like "actually we're totally fine, nothing at all to worry about, we're doing great!"?

This is like the internet "someone has to hold the coach accountable" thing. It's just a thing to say that doesn't really mean anything. Are you a donor? Are you going to cut off your donations if we don't make a top four seed or something? Stop going to games?
