SMU is going to be tough. As is Vandy.

Vandy has been incredible so far. They brought back a lot more than most SEC teams so will be interesting to see if people catch up to them as the season goes but so far they're probably the best team in the league.
I kind of expect them to torch SMU, but I'm worried playing them is going to help SMU against us because we're a little similar and they're better than us.

Might be an early exaggeration, but Auburn is my biggest disappointment for the SEC so far.

Hard to say that with a coaching change and the roster turnover. I'd probably argue it's Kentucky.
Slow footed and a liability in transition for sure but if were SMU I'd probably feed him inside as much as possible in the half court game and try to get our bigs in foul trouble.

UVA didn't Aggie it up.
SEC wins 9-7. Great competition up and down the ledger. FSU took another beat down. Expected more from Mizzou.

My conclusion from this challenge is that the SEC is good again this year. Lots of opportunity for at large bids in play.
At this point I'd posit the bottom of the conference is better and the top is not as good as last year. Could be 16 decent to good teams and no great ones. Subject to change as season progresses.

I think this is very obviously the case.
I also think because of the size of the class that just graduated with so many of the COVID players that college basketball in general is much more volatile this year.
Absolutely. No senior-laden Auburn, Florida is not what they were, Kentucky tbd, and Bama maybe will hit their form eventually. Even Tenneesee is not what they've been.
Yeah, and teams that actually have quality returning players really stand out, like Vandy is out here torching everyone. It's going to be interesting to see if everyone catches up.
I think Bama is also really good. Their losses are to Purdue and Gonzaga who are both out of the gate pretty hot this year too. They've already beaten two top 15-ish teams in St. John's and Illinois and Clemson is probably a tournament team also.
