Well most of these posts are from before that game.

Mgbako is improving but that lumbering yeti chasing him down for a block on a breakaway and then running away from Mgbako for a dunk of his own was pretty bad. Mgbako just looks slow and stiff in the open court right now.

And in the half court.

bob, I agree on the Mgbako breakaway...not a strong attempt.
He needs to be more physical no doubt, so hopefully him knocking down a few shots will get him going.

This team just looks to be the polar opposite of a Buzz team when it comes to rebounding, physical play, and shooting.

I mentioned the stiffness of Mgbako recently and was going to say that he moves like an old guy who used to be really good, but I'm not sure if that really fits either. I'm not really seeing anything that tells me this is a super talented player. And it's not as if he's been some lights out shooter thus far in his career. He was 32.9% from 3 last year and averaged 12 ppg. I expect that to continue to improve since he has a nice looking shot and understands that a player who doesn't create shots and can't handle the ball has zero chance of playing in the NBA unless he is very good 3-point shooter, but we'll see. I hope it's not a "I'm here to collect a paycheck and not get hurt" situation.
