Get tested.
If positive, then schedule a tele-health appointment with your doctor.
Your doctor will be able to consult you remotely if conditions worsen.
Take care of yourself. Get lots of rest and fluids
Unless you experience serious critical symptoms then theres not much a doctor can do for you besides tell you to get rest and drink fluids.
I agree. How will testing change your behavior or how you manage your symptoms? There's no specific treatment. If you're just curious, then yeah, get tested. It will also help public health officials track official numbers. But also remember that false negative rate is high, depending on the test brand and technique used. The big advantage to knowing you have COVID is knowing you need to take extra precautions to isolate and keep everyone away from you till you can safely get off isolation. So really, up to you.
Return to work guidance is wait until y'all are 72 hours symptom free and 10 days out from symptom onset. Alternatively, if you don't want to wait 10 days, you can do the 2 negative tests 24 hours apart and resolution of symptoms. But that just uses up resources unnecessary.
