• A wild start that saw Florida sprint out to 14 first-quarter points on a pair of 75-yard drives wasn’t what the 105,000-plus in attendance at Kyle Field expected, nor was it what Mike Elko’s defense wanted to see. After a shaky start that was due primarily to some incredible throws and contested catches from DJ Lagway to a talented set of Gator receivers, the A&M defense locked in and proceeded to completely lock down the Gators for the remainder of the game.
