they finish 10-10 in Big 12 play and have over 20+ wins. Wouldn't that get them in the NCAA's?

It would give them a chance. Their RPI isn't that great, which hurts their chances.

We should move ahead of Baylor in RPI by the end of the season to be 7th in the B12 list. Can we catch ISU and move past them? Maybe...they could lose out. I think the B12 will get 6 if the sixth team is A&M. Note: there are lots of teams around the country ahead of us with near 0.500 records. If they finish below 500, that's good for us as well even if it only makes the committee look farther down the list to see what names jump out.

Perceived conference strength will be important if A&M is on the bubble.

Corbelli's job would be saved at least.

I would be surprised if we do NOT get in the NCAA's with a .500 record in conference. The RPI is not good and would counter the inflated non-conference record, but the Big XII name could carry enough weight to get in on the bubble. The selection committee sometime gives a nod to teams that have done well in their last 10-12 matches which includes 4 losses - all to top 25 teams. If they get a bid, I would think it is likely that we would have to travel to a formidable foe's venue for the first round.

But does getting a bid save the program? Although it would be a step in the right direction, a bid does not mean that the program is where it should be right now. There are still glaringly obvious problems that BB will need to address. At best, we are looking at a tie for 5th place or, at worst, a tie for 8th.

The motto is not "Building 5th Place Finishes".
