Michael Earley's everyday shortstop in 2025, Texas A&M infielder Kaeden Kent was selected by the New York Yankees in the third round, 103rd overall, in the 2025 MLB Draft. The son of 2000 NL MVP Jeff Kent, Kaeden hit .290 with 18 homers across 135 games as an Aggie.
Texas A&M lefty Justin Lamkin selected in second round by Royals
Leading the Aggies in ERA (3.42) and strikeouts (98) in 2025, junior left-hander Justin Lamkin was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the second round, 71st overall, in the 2025 MLB Draft. With 260 career strikeouts, Lamkin ranks eighth on the program's all-time list.
