OK, I've got to confess, I'm addicted. I can't wait for the next Test match to start tomorrow afternoon.

India is going to kick ass! It should be 2-1 India or at the very least 1-1 right now! Stupid cheating Aussies!

Haha, India Loses.

Test 1 - Aus won
Test 2 - Aus won (players cheated, and umpires colluded with them)
Test 3 - India won
Test 4 - Draw (no one won)

So though officially the result is 2-1 in favor of Aus, India can take satisfaction that if not for the malpractice, it would be a drawn series. And Australia is the undisputed No 1.

How about Australia just owning India in the first innings of the Twenty20 match. India only got 75 runs. We should be able to match that with no problem.

3 reasons.

1. The match was played in Australia, and the home team has an advantage of home ground advantage.
2. Indians are typically slow starters. They lose a couple of matches before the wins come. If you remember they played Test 1 badly and then improved greatly. The 20-20 team has a lot of new players who just got to Aus from India. They did not play the test series so are new to the conditions.
3. Australia is the world's best team. Have been for about 15 years. They may be uncouth and uncivilized, but are good at cricket.

The ODI series should be a good contest.

I expect us to get pwned in this ODI tourney, but we should have won the test series, if the Aussies had even a remote sense of sportsmanship.

As it turned out, Symonds was NOT called a monkey. He was called "teri maa ki" ("your mother's..." ) by Harbhajan in retaliation to some typical uncivilized aussie sledging and abuse.

I don't think anyone who knows cricket will disagree that Australia has been the dominant team for about 15 years. However it looks very possible that they are not at strong as they seem without uncivilized means like sledging and intimidation of umpires and opposition players. And cheating.

No. I just moved here from Los Angeles, for work about 3 months ago. I've found "The Cricket" fascinating. What's funny is that now that I've seen a few matches between, I actually know the names and skills of a lot of the Indian players. So, when I was watching India vs. Sri Lanka, I found myself pulling for India.

India just beat Australia to win the CB Series! This is pretty big, beating Australia 2-0 in the series in their own backyard.

Australia is on a decline after ruling cricket for 15 years. The players are all around 35, and going downhill. They had a good set of players 5-10 years ago, all at the right age. They supplemented their talent and skill with 'sledging' or berating their opponents, and pressurizing the umpires. That worked well until now with their media joining in the 'mental disintegration'.

Now people stand up to their sledging, and they look like whiny children when they do it. They are also losing a lot more, their own media will begin to question their tactics.

Australia might have been champs, but very unpopular ones. Opponents hate them for their boorish attitude, coupled with racism and no one is going to feel sorry for them.

Hollywood... if you fall asleep watching 3 day test cricket... go take in a Rugby League game... it is easy to get into and is fun to watch.
