The original match scheduled at 6:00PM on Thursday has been moved to 3:00PM since the basketball team is now playing at 6:30PM.

Come on out and support your men's tennis team as they look to stay undefeated here in Aggieland!

Ags win 5-2. Lose the doubles point and Kavyon got beat in straight sets at six. Wil, Austin, Mat, Chris and Conor all won in straight sets. On to Lubbock tomorrow for the Tech match on Sunday.

I would love to see us get on a roll in doubles. Doubles point will be big in conference play.

A good win for the Ags, but if they have any realistic shot at competing for a big 12 title, then they have to get doubles together and shore up no.6. You have to be solid at all 6 and if your number 6 is getting pasted by louisville, who isnt even close to the caliber of a baylor, texas, ok st, etc. Still a solid win, but the Ags are way to flawed right now to be considered for any place in the top 3 of big 12.

Obviously doubles are a huge concern. It is almost ironic that Steve Denton, one of the great doubles players of the modern era is struggling to get his guys to play well. He has tried nearly every conceivable combination and no one has stepped up on a consistent basis. I had hoped that the Pepperdine victory was an indication that we had turned the corner, but that was obviously not the case versus Louisville. I don't think there is much we can do at six, except hope that Kayvon will mature as a player. The coaches all think he can compete, but he has struggled when the lights come on. I also think he is really hard on himself right now. The rest of the singles lineup is playing pretty well, and we have a decent chance on lines one thru five.

I was thinking the same exact thing. With the emphasis almost purely on singles in junior tennis, a lot of freshmen are showing up to college without a clue. Hopefully he'll whip them into shape.
