The guys play a very good Oklahoma State team at 1:00 at the Mitchell Tennis Center. OSU has always played well down here, and we are still struggling with doubles, which makes for a tight match. Hopefully we can find a way to step up this afternoon.

Finally underway, rain delay? Doubles is not fairing so well, ....... again.

Lost line 1 and 3 doubles, Line two kept it from being 0-3, but 2-1 wins the doubles point for OSU.

The live scoring it out there, but it is over. OSU won 4-3.

We lost the doubles point, then lost line 1,5 and 6 singles.

Lines 2-3-4 won, all matches in straight sets.

If Oklahoma didn't have to default a line, the Aggies could be 0-3 in the big 12, instead of 1-2.

Baylor, Nebraska and Texas still to go.

Bye bye season, theres always next year. Ags will have no chance against texas and baylor and the nebraska match looks like it will be the battle for the bottom of the big 12. Nebraska beat the Ags last year can they make it two straight? doubles and the bottom of the lineup are killing the ags, and its too much to expect connor to win everytime. One good thing to look at is they have a good base to build from, just got to add a few more characters. Peace im done

Interesting that Coach Denton's recruits all won on line 2,3, and 4. Doubles continues to be a disaster. Very rare for Mat to fall at 5 without a fight. Oh well, you gotta keep getting up.

last year was pathetic in conference and looks like finishing 5th this year... not what this program expects (3rd place should be the bare minimum each year)...

Denton was mainly a badass in doubles on the pro tour he can't instill any of that in the players...Way to go byrne hiring a sip who was coaching at A&M freaking corpus...what a disaster

No, I think we are playing bad doubles. Maybe my glass is half empty, but consistently losing does not equate to good play.

Upon further review, we have the same problem in doubles as singles. #3 Dubs isn't competitive. Tough to win doubles point when 1&2 HAVE to win.

We will fall out of the top 25 secondly we should have higher hopes for aggie tennis then the low twenties...Can you also remember a time when the Okie schools were automatic wins??? Nice try..

there are a lot of misinformed people on this thread. but then again, what else is new?

that said, losing to osu at home is a disappointment. baylor will be a huge challenge. texas will be even tougher, especially in austin. nebraska could go either way on their courts, though i give us the advantage.

this team lost 4 guys that should have been battling for lineup spots this year. given that fact, how can anyone be surprised that we are stuggling?

the thing is we shouldn't struggle ever we should be top 12-16 year in and year out (which we had that stretch for many many years - even when losing players)...

we have the facilities, support, money, etc not to struggle and lose so many big 12 matches.... we have lost more big 12 matches the last year and a half than we did in a 5-6 yr period

I do have higher hopes for Aggie Tennis, but I look at it this way. We have a young team, we lost a few players last year, and we (unfortunately) cant put the teams hopes on Connors back every match.

Dont get me wrong, I want us to be better, of course. However, with the young team we have, I am not surprised that we are losing these matches.

Care to explain who is misinformed?? Since you're such an authority enlighten me??

There is no question that losing Jerry, Clay Danato to UNC,and Tyler Tarnasky to Arkansas did not do anthing postive for our depth. I think we are being unreasonably hard with Kavyon who probably should have been redshirted in a perfect world, and the fact that he is struggling should be of no suprise. When you lose dubs, and at number 6, you have almost no margine for error in the remaining matches. Matt gets hurt and really never gets his match engaged, and voila...you lose 4=3.

Kavyon is young and will improve to be a solid contributor. Depth sucks w/ Jerry quitting. Future looks bright if we can keep the frosh and bring in another similar class.
