our lead is slipping... after losing womens tennis its now 7-5.5 but mens tennis plays this weekend and tu is the heavy favorite and could close the gap to 7-6.5... baseball is gonna be huge

Gonna come down to the golfers.
Both A&M teams will be favored, but no gimmes.

Unless the golf and track teams crater, we've got it locked up.

yep, it looks like this:

men's tennis: sips heavy favorite
softball: ags heavy favorite +.5
m golf: ags favorite +1
w golf: ags favorite +1
w track: ags heavy favorite +1
m track: ags favorite +1
baseball: ags favorite +1

12.5 - 6.5

we might lose one of the golfs; we might lose baseball; we might lose men's track.

In such event, we'd finish 9.5 - 9.5.

But the chances ALL THREE of those things are going to happen? Not much...

Cory, you're not too bright.

This thing is already wrapped up. Looked at the rankings of the respective teams that will be squaring off.

it's like this- we might score 30pts in the ncaa and get 3rd in the nation, even though we have only 4 or 5 events that we place. That's because there are 100+ teams, with multiple members in multiple events. Okay, so in your conference meet you win those 4 or 5 events that you are best in the country in. You might not be so good (or deep) in other events. A team like t.u. has a lot of good people in a lot of events, even though they might not have many that are the tops in the country.

national track rankings are based on how many pts you might score at nationals, not based on how solid your team is across the board. Theoretically, a team could have one track star and 30 other people that have no hope of ever placing in the top 6 in any meet, and yet that "team" might be a top 20 track team.
