Jjust making a quick observation...we need to split the points for both m&w golf as well as both m&w track, just to have a chance at winning it this year.

We really need golf to catch fire, they both got off to bad starts.

Men's golf is holding narrow lead... women are quite a bit behind now......

I think we will at least split track and field...

we should win the remaining softball game

It will probably come down to who can take 2 of 3 in men's baseball

golf is disappointing me today!

I think they will close the gap and take the lead over rounds 2-4!

I thought (was hoping) maybe the scores on golfstat were just really, really behind.

we have to win 3 of the 5 points available between golf (m&w), track(m&w) & baseball.

if tu wins 3 points they are at 9.5, which means the best case scenario for us is a tie and they would retain.

Isn't there still a half a point left for softball........?

the half softball point wont matter either way.

all that matters is that they dont get 3 full points.

We made up 12 shots on Texas on the last nine in Trinity and trail them by one going into the third round. The women lead Texas by six heading into the second round in Stillwater.

Texas got the point in men's golf and we got it on the women's side, so we still have a 1/2 point lead with men's and women's track & field, baseball and softball (1/2 point) left. We need two more points to lock it up.

women's T&F is a guaranteed point; we just need either men's T&F or baseball to step up and seal the deal; softball's 1/2 point along with women's T&F would only get us a tie

Maybe I'm drunk, but isn't the Men's T&F Team ranked number 1 in the nation??? Why are we so worried???

Both track teams are #3, but track rankings are based on predicted finish at nationals. Due to depth, a team could get points at a conference meet that they wouldn't have any chance of getting at nationals.

Or so I've read elsewhere on the board.

Also, I think both golf teams were ranked ahead of tu, and that didn't turn out too well.

MTP speaks the truth, plus we have yet to beat Texas at Big 12's on the men's side with the new staff so it's tough to assume a win when it hasn't happened yet...here's to hoping they can do it though...

In women's golf the Aggies are ranked higher that ut and in the Big 12 tournament they finished higher than ut. (second compared to third) What else do they have to do to get the point?

RIght now it's 8 to 7.5 Egs. We'll probably take softball (.5). We'll probably take baseball (1). At that point, we split track and we win. If they take both, we tie, which means they get the trophy but it's still a tie which is a big improvement.

Men's golf was the big let down!

I was hoping that it wouldn't come down to the baseball series, but it looks that way!

Softball took the other .5 point tonight!
