Holy cow! Cameron Peck of Olympia, Wash., won the U.S. Junior title today in Alabama. He won the 36-hole final 10 and 9. For those of you who follow golf, that is as dominating a performance as you will ever see.

Peck is the top-rated player in the country in the class of 2009.

The best part is that he committed to A&M on Wednesday. Way to go, Coach Higgins!

Amazing! What a deal for A&M!!! People that don't follow golf have no idea what an enormous accomplishment this is!

Is it possible that both of the last two US Junior AM champions will be playing at A&M in the next few seasons?

I've heard Cory Whitsett is considering us too. Can anyone can confirm that?

I would think that Cory has OU high on his list. His words: I love college football and my favorite team is the Oklahoma Sooners. I mainly like them because my parents went there, but they are also really good. My favorite player is DeMarco Murray, who is their running back.

Golfweek has a very good article up about the tournament and they interview Whitsett and he said before the tourney that Cameron Peck was his #1 competition.

This is a huge signing for JT! Great job JT and stay on that trail. Having the AJGA Easter event at Traditions is fantastic. It gets the best players into CS and gets them talking about the facilities and the great course we have.
