The Aggie softball team lost AT HOME to Baylor yesterday 0-3 ... the first game between the two teams saw Baylor win that one, too ... 0-4.

ZERO runs against an evenly matched team like baylor ... incredible ... no excuses. Even Coach Jo Evans said after yesterday's defeat ... "we have the talent to beat Baylor and anybody else in the conference."

REALLY, coach??????????? Well, okay ... I'm guessing Jo Evans will do the right thing, then, and resign. It's time for Wally to find the right softball coach that will take our "talent" to the next level.

You're not evenly matched. Glenn Moore has done a good job recruiting at Baylor, and has brought in some talent. Baylor has way better pitching than you do.

Okay - Jo Evans lied. Obviously, when she is going to finish 8-10 in conference, that's not the talent to beat anyone else. But as I said before, she's going to be back next year.

Say goodbye to the top 25, though, after this weekend with the Huskers. I'd say a regional bid is looking pretty dicey right now, too.

What is your obession with Aggie softball we have really good talent take a look at some of our wins over top competion before conference started..I still think they will make the NCAA's just in a rut right now..Thanks for your interest in A&M softball...Don't you have some parade to go march in???

Two wins over Fullerton when they were banged up with injuries, one win over Notre Dame who is nowhere to be found in the polls now, and that leaves 2 one run wins over Oregon State and ULL.

Losing records in conference don't help to get teams into post season. You'll end up 4-11 against ranked teams, and that won't help either.

Splitting at Nebraska (who for some unknown reason, threw James in game #2 instead of #1) is a good thing. You have a chance to finish .500 in conference, and might not drop out of the polls this week.

And it's true that that you split with Nebraska, the same as Texas did. Unfortunately, It's also true that you were swept by OU and Baylor, and split with Kansas and OSU.

I mistakenly assumed that you would lose both conference games to Nebraska.

On the year, you have wins against Fullerton (twice), Oregon State, and Louisiana-Lafayette, and Nebraska. Notre Dame isn't ranked now (and rightly so - they aren't very good). You have losses against UCLA, ASU, Nebraska (twice), OU (twice), Texas (twice), and Baylor (twice).

So before tournament play starts, you are 5-10 against ranked teams (had you lost to Nebraska, you would have been 4-11 - my bad).

Right after they knocked Baylor out -- The same Baylor team that lost to A&M yesterday. The Ags took two of the best pitchers in the Big 12 right down to the wire. Not too bad a showing.

Moral victories are for 12 year olds.
