AZUSA, Calif. --- Texas A&M senior Jake Boone won the California Invitational decathlon title with a career-best point total of 7,364 on Friday at the Mt. SAC Multis Competition on the campus of Azusa Pacific.
Boone, from Bellville, Texas, qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships with the effort and nows ranks as the No. 7-ranked decathlete in school history. Boone?s previous best in the decathlon was 7,248 points.
