The Aggies wrapped up their spring games this past weekend in College Park, Maryland. Despite outshooting the Terrapins 25-9 and out cornering them 7-1, the Aggies lost a tough 1-0 decision to the 2001 NCAA tournament participants.

"The game was very competitive," commented Aggie head coach G Guerrieri. "It's unfortunate that we hit the post and missed four breakaways and that they scored on their best chance of the match. These spring experiences are positive lessons that our young team will learn from for the upcoming NCAA season in August."

Texas A&M played a very competitive spring schedule against professional teams and highly-ranked college teams, finishing the campaign with a 4-2-2 record. Expectations will be very high for the Aggies in the fall after winning their third Big 12 Championship trophy and advancing to the NCAA Tournament's "Elite Eight" last season.
