How many courts does our complex have?

How many matches are going on at the same time?

The scores posted for the doules are 8 -4 and 8 -3 .What does that mean?

Thanks

We have twelve courts. Six on the stadium club side, and six on the grandstand side. There can be two matches going on at the same time. The eight is generally the number of matches you need to win in doubles and the other number represents the number of games the losing team won. Thus 8-3 would mean that the winning team won eight games and the losing team won three games.

In the doubles they play what is called a Pro Set. A Pro Set is the first to win 8 games and be ahead by 2 games. In singles they play regular sets which are first one to six games and be ahead by 2. The singles play 2 out of 3 sets, so first one to win 2 sets wins.
