Anyone else pumped for this fight? Both are great boxers/fighters. Kelly Pavlik is said to have a very strong punch and is unbeaten. Hopkins is no longer talking trash going into his fights this time.

Hope its a good fight. As Hopkins got older, he got more and more accomplished at draining all of the life and fun out of a fight with his defensive style. It's very effective, but it can sometimes be hard to watch. Sort of depends on the style of fighter pitted against him; Hopkins + another counter-puncher = watching paint dry. But an aggressive figher like Pavlik should be a great one to see against him. Like they always say, styles make fights.

Bob I agree. This is why I knew the Hopkins/Calazage fight was gonna be as good as it was. Joe is relentless and it sounds as if Pavlik is the same way. I would love to see a Joe C. vs K. Pavlik fight. though JC claims hes retiring after the Jones Jr, fight I call bluff. he still has some big time fights/pay days up ahead when he beats Jones Jr. I dont see him walking away just yet.
