Anyone think Jeff Maggert can pull off a top 10 finish? How about Tiger? He had a rough first day!

Ok...I will answer. at the turn Jeff is tied for 4th and Tiger moved from 90 something to 25th.

I went on Sunday, and happened to catch Jeff coming down the back nine. I watched him hit his 2nd shot on #16. Actually, it was his third shot. While he was waiting for everyone to clear off the green to hit his second, he was taking some practice swings with his driver. Well, he accidentally hit the ball with the top of his driver on one of his practice swings, and it went flying sideways about 20 yards from the fairway into the rough. He looked about as disgusted as anyone can look. I just shook my head and wondered if this guy was ever going to win anything on the PGA tour?!?!?!?

I assume he replaced the ball to its original position, with a stroke penalty. Davis Love did a similar thing with a practice stroke on a putt a year or so ago...I think at the Tournament Player's Championship.

...and DL3 compounded his problems by then playing his shot from where the ball came to rest after the unintended contact.

That's the darndest thing I've heard in a while.
