Aggies are headed to the Norman, OK region as the #3 seed along with #1 seed Texas and #2 seed Oklahoma. Our 1st game is against #4 seed Arkansas. I think I remember this tournament except it was played a week ago and called the Big 12 tournament. I understand the rationale for less travel after 9/11, but at least send us to Lafayette, LA. We have been playing the same teams for 2 months now. Let's see how we match up with teams from other regions of the country.
Baylor did get screwed. They finished 4th in the conference in the regular season. They were 2-0 against A&M in the regular season, but 0-2 against A&M in the postseason tourney. As we got a #3 seed, it appears that we were not on the bubble. I wonder what happened to Baylor. I am not familiar with their non-conference schedule, but from what I know, it appears that they deserved a bid. I think they were in the top 25 heading into the conference tourney. At least, we know that Tim Cass can't be the scape goat for this one. Considering the ease of their tennis region, he may have done them a favor.
