I just hope England can keep it up. Beckham looks like he hasn't been out too long. He still seemed a little rusty but he played excellently. Owen was just all over the place. My heart stopped when his shot went off of the goal. What a great game.

Becks did look far from 100%, but I think his fitness is improving every day.
I wish we had the other few players we are without due to injury.

I hate to say this, but whatever the US team does from here on through this World Cup is pure bonus. I only wanted and expected the team to play decently and maybe turn a head or two. But with the amazing win over Portugal I'm elated. That was a truly amazing game. They did more in that game than I expected them to do in all three of the first round games. I would love nothing more than to see the US team win on Monday and advance, but I am incredibly happy with their performance after their first game. Hopefully the level of play from the Portugal game will remain in the remaining two games.

With that win, as long as you play it smart...you should move on to the second round.
We still have to at a minimum, draw with Nigeria. A win of course would be much better.
Nigeria are out, so there are 2 ways to look at this game....they could just roll over & let us progress, or they could come out & play for pride with nothing to loose.
I suspect the latter, which should make it a very entertaining game!

Congrats, Argentina was a huge dissapointment...but something even more sad is you holding on to qoute of mine...i bet you counted every second until today...I am glad that a simple quote of mine makes a huge difference in your life...good luck with Brazil...you are going to need it...

Hey homeslice...sorry to disappoint you (like the argies), but you are wrong on both counts (again).
Firstly, I did not hang onto the quote..I mearly did used the little 'search' button for things I had previously written about the WC, came across your dribble...& thought I would respond.
As for my insignificant life...HA. Yeah right...I am doing just fine thanks. Very happy, living it up in a great place. What's a significant life anyway? Making dumb predictions on the net?
