Cameron is the school's 1st #1 recruit since Jessica Beard in Women's track about 2 years ago I believe.

Loved what Higgins has done for A&M.

Prompted me to go checkout golfweek's junior rankings. Cameron is #3 on their list. What's interesting are 2 Texans are ahead of him.

Jordan Spieth is a Soph at Dallas Jesuit and ranked #1.

Cory Whitsett (#2) is a Junior at Memorial.

Looking at what Cameron is accomplished I'm not sure how anyone can deny him the #1 spot. The two other Texans have been in the same tournaments Cameron has been winning.

Just my biased 2 cents.

Cameron is No. 1 in the Class of 2009 by Golfweek. Those other two guys are underclassmen. He is also No. 1 in the Polo Junior Golf Rankings (AJGA).

Those rankings are based on results from Junior Golf tournaments. Some juniors choose to upgrade to amateur events the latter part of the summer before their senior year. (better competition against college players) That might explain why he was passed in the rankings.
Whatever, Congrats to the Aggies! It's an amazing class.

Once again J.T. has signed an oustanding class! Cameron, arguably, has the best resume of any golfer that has ever signed to play in Aggieland. Although the two Ryan's don't have the results of Peck, Coach Higgins does an excellent job of finding and developing talent that others look past.
