Great news. Also an event in which we do not currently score well. I have been expecting Henry to start pulling in men's recruits on a level with the women and maybe it is starting. The new facility has to help. It certainly shows a high level of commitment to the program.
People think Henry isn't pulling in recruits on the men's side b/c of his recruiting ranking on that side but it is very misleading. He has transfers and late signees and weird additions that have made the team very strong. We have a great men's team that may not show up in the recruiting rankings but just look at where the pollsters are predicting us to finish this year. 2nd in the nation.
His desire to attend Aggieland was probably greatly influenced by former female Athlete of the Year - Gabby Mayo. She is a graduate of Southeast HS in Raleigh.
Looks like we are also going to sign the top female hurdler in the country. Donique Flemings has committed to A&M. She is currently the national leader in the 60M Hurdles.
Neither of San Jose, California superstars Vashti Thomas and Jeneba Tarmoh has run this season. Hope nothing is wrong with either of them. They are listed on the roster. If they do not run this weekend, I will start to get worried. They are incredibly gifted.
