I always have a positive outlook on the vball teams. Even when we have lost solid seniors, there is always a group behind them raring to go!

A.D. - will be our leader on and off the court. She's a 5th year senior. I think its really neat that she is "short" yet so effective even in the middle.
Lexy - she's only a sophomore - but she's our quarterback. From what I've seen and heard, I think she will take charge out there. Between Lexy and AD, there will be plenty of energy and spunk out there!
Julia - I haven't seen another of her in 3 years. She's been playing behind some great Righ-side players...I hope she can step-in and step-up.
Tara - will continue to be a big force in the middle.
Melissa - Wow....I can't wait to see her play this year. She was phenom last year! I'm hoping she will hit like Stacy did on the outside.
Beth - I have only been able to see her a couple of times - and she looked promising.
Laura - She will start from the get-go. She's had great experience through the Youth National Team.

Don't forget...we have the Libero this year. This is no big surprise since we have had it in other ranks...but it will be nice to have our specialist in there for more than one person.

I think the girls will do great this year.

Practices should be starting if they haven't already. It would be great if someone could stop by and give us the scoop. I will be down there next weekend and hope to watch a session or two.

BTW...for anyone going to the Kansas football game..don't forget that you can hop over to K-State for the Volleyball game that weekend!

Really appreciate the info as I do not follow the players closely, although I keep up with the team results of their games. Coach Corbelli and staff are outstanding and have created a nationally recognized volleyball program. Our so called "minor" programs are faring extremely well .

AgVball, thanks for the update. I'm going to try to catch a few matches this season. I work nights and weekends, but I can make the Sunday night games and maybe catch part of the tournament, too.
