Looks like a pretty good win today over a team ranked ahead of us nationally but what was up with Elze today? Was that girl just that much better than her? Just surprised to see her drop straight sets. Wish I could have made the match but had other obligations. Hoping for a good year from the girls.

It may be a long year. Walkon playing #4 singles, with a scholarship player on the bench, and the #5 girl from last year playing 2 now. Its a young team for sure. Gonna be interesting to see the character of these girls when the matches get tougher.

True bigfoot, but Denver was still a solid win. I'll be interested to see how they look after this roadtrip coming up, but I think they'll still be ok.

When I left for track, it looked like our doubles were struggling, but most of the issues looked like they would be corrected with more experience playing together.

Also we have to consider the brutal weather they were playing in. Obviously the Denver players are more accustomed to playing in cold and wind. While I wouldn't put my money on them winning any kind of big 12 titles or anything, I think they'll be ok. I'd look for a top 20 finish.

I'd say more like a top 35 but you never know.

Really going out on a limb there, ehh? Top 35?

They're ranked #30, and just beat the #28 team. I don't think there's any question that they'll be in the top 35.

I didn't know where they were ranked but at the end of the year my guess is they'll be closer to 35 than 20.

with the lineup from yesterday, top 20 would be amazing.

they finished #25 in 2007 with both annas, sarah, nicki, tiff, marisa, elze, and michelle. that team would beat the current team 6-1, maybe 5-2 on a good day. no offense to the girls at all, i hope they have a great year. it's tough on everyone when the recruits don't pan out. they should still easily be top half in the conference.
