I don't care who is playing and where they are from. I only care about quality and consistent tennis. Roddick can give you none of that. He's garbage, doo doo, a 2nd tier player.

Roddick is garbage and his style of play has been copied by most Americans, which is why the US is a non factor in the tennis world at this point in time. Big servers, not much else. Can't create points, can't stay in long rallies, weak groundstrokes, inability or unwillingness to come to net and be aggressive.

If you just watched the Nadal-Verdasco match, you realize just how good these players are. Then watch Roddick and you realize how far he has to go to be at the top. His best days and results are behind him. Hopefully there are some good juniors coming up, US tennis is sorely lacking.

To say a player who has consistently earned a top 5 or ten ranking for a number of years is garbage is pretty silly. I don't think any of the people that post here put him at the same level as Fed,Nadal or even Doj but to claim he is bad player really ignores reality.
To claim his style of play dictates the style of American juniors is a real reach also. A junior's style of play is much more influenced by their personal coachs and their own capabilities and limitations than their desire to copy Andy Roddick. There are a number of reasons US juniors may not be up there with the rest of the world but Andy Roddick isn't one of them.
