The Men's tennis match vs. #3 Ohio State has been moved indoors to the City of Bryan Tennis Center at 4:30pm!

Free Crocs will still be given to the first 150 students.

Admission will not cost anything.

We hope to see everyone who can make it there!

Do you not get paid unless you post this stuff, even if someone else has already made an identical thread?

Final set, tied at 2's.

Just to give some idea how good #5 Ohio State is, they only have one loss on the year, to #8 Tennessee. Their best win was a 4-0 victory over #4 UCLA. In their last 7 matches they haven't had one of their guys lose a single match, they are 46-0. This includes tussles with #'s 4, 10, 14 and 25 in the country. Also 5 of their top 6 players are ranked in the top 100 in the country.

That's probably the best match we've played all year. Definitely something to build on.

Tough to not be able to finish it off. Hopefully we can parlay it into a win over Illinois.

Ohio State skunked Baylor 7-0.

Best match we have played yes, but we have to close that out. Kayvon played a great 2nd set, then had a ton of unforced errors in the 3rd. He only held serve once in the 3rd as well.

If we are going to beat teams like OSU, we have to get a solid 6 in there. My question is, why is Colin not playing? He had a great match against TCU, and the coaches praised him for it, yet they took him out 2 matches later. Get someone else in there. Kayvon was 2-11 in dual matches last year at #6. Not exactly stellar numbers.

I thought you could tell from the teams body language that even they didnt have any confidence in him either. OSU would go nuts when their guy won a point, we would merely clap and scream a little for Kayvon. I just think you need to try someone else in that spot.

sounds more like a problem with the guys that WERENT playing than the guy that was.

So we're in position for the greatest win of the season and our team is not cheering like crazy for their team member?

I agree, but was also saying that it seemed like the guys sitting on the sideline didnt have much confidence in Kayvon.

Not the guy you want deciding the match.

i'm sure the coaches went with kayvon because his game is better suited to indoor tennis than hoover's (bigger serve and groundies). i doubt anyone was going into this match counting on a win at line six to clinch it, no matter who we had out there. that's not a knock on anyone, just sayin that against the top teams you have to win at the top to take pressure off the guys at the bottom, especially if it's a young guy with little experience or shaky results in big matches.
